Emmanuel Tissandier has always devoted his free time to drawing and painting. A great lover of abstraction and especially of the painters Zao Wou-Ki and Vieira Da Silva, Emmanuel has long worked in oil painting on abstract works. Since 2016, he mainly produces portraits in watercolor and ink. It is the portraits of strangers that he finds on the internet and especially on Instagram which serve him mainly as models. Emmanuel mixes several techniques in his portraits, from watercolor to acylic and alcohol inks, which he uses on synthetic paper support, thus giving his portraits both intense colors and an aspect that is sometimes almost abstract . Always in search of new techniques, he has recently begun to continue his work around abstraction through paintings made by mixing inks and acrylic with transparent resin.
